Alcatel is targeting specific users with its latest launch. We’ve seen some of these devices at CES 2016 but almost half a year later, we get to see them here. And we’re now just a few weeks away before the Idol 4S + VR, Plus 10 tablet, and MOVETIME Track & Talk Watch make it to our shores and stores.
Idol 4S + VR
Not one to be left behind in the VR game, Alcatel is bringing in the Idol 4S with VR into the Philippines. Its estimated price is under P30,000, which is still on the higher end of the spectrum admittedly. We’d have to see if the bundled VR headset, which is also the product box (nifty marketing feature!), is enough to entice buyers. Here’s a quick rundown of its specs:

Alcatel is making a case for tablets as replacements for laptops and PCs with the Plus 10. Estimated price is under P20,000 with hopes that it’ll attract more people to make the swtich. Here are the key specs of the device:

MOVETIME Track & Talk Watch
In the age of stranger danger, it’s devices like the MOVETIME Track & Talk that help keep the minds of parents at ease. This is designed for kids from ages five to nine that allows parents to call or send voice mesages to them via 2G. The children can reply to up to 10 pre-set contacts or make calls to five registered numbers. The smartwatch comes with a GPS locator so you can keep track the whereabouts of your children be alerted if they leave or enter pre-set safe zones. Its companion smartphone app works with iOS 7 or above and Android 4.3 or above.
