Sharing a common vision to provide motorbike owners and drivers efficiency and enhanced engine performance, energy leader Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation was recently named as the preferred fuel provider of top motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki Philippines.
This partnership was confirmed last May in a signing agreement held at the Suzuki 3S Shop Roosevelt, Quezon City led by Pilipinas Shell Vice President and General Manager for Mobility Randy del Valle; Marketing Delivery Manager of Shell Mobility, Arvin Obmerga; Suzuki Philippines’ General Manager for Motorcycle Sales and Marketing Division, Jun Bulot and Suzuki’s Motorcycle’s Marketing Manager Nenuka Guba.
Del Valle said, “We are delighted to partner with Suzuki, one of the biggest brands nationally. The features and services in our Shell stations will be providing extra layers of customer satisfaction to clients who had bought Suzuki motorcycles here in the Philippines.”
Bulot added, “Now that we are being challenged by the pandemic, this project is a refreshing step to reward our customers as we all ride ahead in the New Normal. We encourage them to move around on two wheels because motorcycles are economical, efficient and promote social distancing. And we are glad that we are with you (Shell) in this endeavor.”
Meanwhile Guba confirmed, “On our end, we’re really happy to be partnering with Pilipinas Shell. One of our thrusts is actually [about] customer relationships, and this project we now have with Shell is something that we are looking at as a customer delighter especially in this trying time.”
Customers who purchase a Suzuki motorcycle will receive a free Shell GO+ card, preloaded with 200 points, which will provide them benefits that can make their travels safer, more efficient, and more comfortable. The Shell GO+ program allows its members to earn and redeem points, and avail of the exclusive perks and rewards in any of Pilipinas Shell’s more than 1,000 stations nationwide, including discounts for Shell V-Power Fuels, Lubricants and Shell Select snacks. Suzuki motorbike riders can also receive free roadside assistance.
“The benefit will go to the Suzuki customers themselves, as they will enjoy the quality products and services from the Shell station,” said Obmerga. He also added, “Suzuki was one of the top choices for partnership primarily because of their reputation as a brand.”
Suzuki recommends Shell V-Power fuels, developed by Shell’s international group of scientists, because of the efficiency and protection that they bring to the bikes’ engines, powering their performance for all kinds of travel.
The DYNAFLEX technology in Shell V-Power fuels is formulated with powerful cleaning molecules designed to prevent and remove performance-robbing engine deposits. Its advanced formulation is designed to work under the extreme conditions of the fuel intake system, breaking down and cleaning-away deposits. This helps to ensure that the fuel intake system is kept clean, enabling the engine to breathe better, helping the bike’s performance. The DYNAFLEX’s formulation with new friction-reducing molecules has demonstrated better performance under tougher conditions on the highway as well as in the city.
Meanwhile, Suzuki bikers can have their vehicles disinfected and given free maintenance checks in the V-Power Bida Bikers lane in selected Shell stations. These designated lanes, allotted exclusively for bikers, immediately allow them to be fueled without having to line up. The Shell GO+ card also gives them discounts for snacks and other items bought at the Shell Select station.
Obmerga acknowledged the role that riders play in the revival of the economy, saying, “It is high time for us to give specific benefits for our motorcycle riders, given the support they have provided and their assistance to the economy during the pandemic.”
Del Valle enthusiastically encouraged the riders to try out the lanes and biker bays, saying, “I do really look forward to the opportunity to inviting all Suzuki motorcycles to visit a Shell Mobility Station. You will really be treated as a guest with an enhanced customer experience. Shell stations will not only provide riders a place for rest and refreshments, but also additional perks to help improve their everyday journeys.”
