The future of modern mobility looks bright in Tarlac. Hyundai Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI), through Hyundai Trucks and Buses Cabanatuan, turned over 30 units of Class 2 HD50S Modern Jeepney to the Tamogepa Transport Service Cooperative Incorporated. The event was graced by Honorable Ahmed G. Cuizon, Regional Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Region III (4th from right); Mr. Cesar A. Absalud, Chairman of the Tamogepa Transport Cooperative (3rd from right); Mr. Dennis San Juan, President of Hyundai Trucks and Buses Cabanatuan City (5th from right); Mr. Monch Osorio, Head of Commercial Vehicle Sales of HARI (2nd from right); and the rest of the key officials from Tamogepa Transport Cooperative.
Hyundai Asia Resources, Incorporated (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai trucks and buses in the Philippines, ramps up transport modernization initiatives, this time, in Tarlac province. Through their dealership, Hyundai Trucks and Buses Cabanatuan, 30 units of Hyundai HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 were turned over to the Tarlac-Moncada-Gerona-Paniqui (Tamogepa) Transport Service Cooperative, Incorporated, a major transport organization in Central Luzon with a 36-year history. 45 more units of Class 2 HD50S Modern Jeepneys are up for delivery within the year.
The turnover was graced by Honorable Ahmed G. Cuizon, Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Region 3. Director Cuizon reinforced the importance of continuing to modernize the country’s mass transport system to elevate the dignity of the Filipino commuter, uplift the livelihood of numerous PUV drivers and transport cooperatives, and contribute to social progress. Hyundai Trucks and Buses Cabanatuan through its President Mr. Dennis San Juan expressed its commitment to transport modernization in the region by providing complete After Sales and other pertinent assistance to maintain the quality and road-worthiness of Hyundai Modern Jeepneys.
As a fitting way to emphasize road safety in the new normal, Police Major Jonathan Victor Olveña, Team Leader of the Highway Patrol Group of Tarlac City, likewise offered practical advice on how to keep drivers, fellow passengers, and other road users safe in the daily commute.
Hyundai’s presence in Tarlac via the HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 is seen as an optimistic sign of the region’s strides toward advancing mobility and ultimately, reinvigorating the economy amid the challenges of the new normal way of life. Powered by a 2.9-liter Euro 4-compliant CRDi diesel engine, the HD50S Modern Jeepney provides better fuel efficiency, reliability, and cleaner emissions. It is designed for enhanced stability and power-to-weight ratio, boasting a 3,415-millimeter wheelbase. The vehicle also features roof-mounted air conditioning, contactless payment using Auto Fare Collection System (AFCS), Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, 7-inch monitor, and speed limit warning buzzer. It can accommodate 22 seated passengers as well as up to 10 standing commuters.
The HD50S Modern Jeepney Class 2 received the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Certificate of Compliance (COC) in 2019 along with the Hyundai H-100 Class 1 Modern Jeepney. In 2020, the Hyundai HD50S Class 3 was also granted its COC, completing Hyundai’s power trio of fully certified Modern Jeepneys that meet Philippine National Standards (PNS).
Through HARI CV Sales Head Mr. Monch Osorio, Hyundai Trucks and Buses President Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo thanked the Tamogepa for the trust and for supporting the Hyundai brand.
