Adhering to the corporate philosophy of “vorsprung durch technik,” Audi Philippines has introduced Audi Live View. The service offers clients a personalized online presentation of Audi Sport’s all-new, 2021 models without them having to physically visit any Audi Philippines showroom.
The move forms part of Audi Philippines’ digitalization initiatives aiming to allow clients a more convenient and safer access to the latest RS models from Audi Sport—the high-performance division of Audi AG. Currently offered for viewing are the phenomenal 5-cylinder-powered RS 3 Sedan and the Nurburgring lap record-holder RS Q8 SUV. Soon to be available in Audi Live View are the RS 6 Avant, which fuses supercar performance with station wagon utility, and the Audi Sport-developed R8 supercar.
All these Audi Sport offerings, in contrast to those belonging in the current lineup of other luxury car brands in the country, are 2021-year models—not carryovers from 2020. More of the latest RS models are scheduled to be launched in the Philippines throughout 2021.
Unlike the usual virtual showroom feature in which a client is left to wander around to check out the models available, Audi Live View offers the full luxury experience as a client gets to engage in real time, via a smartphone or other preferred digital devices, with an Audi product expert who is at an Audi Philippines showroom. This means the client and Audi product expert are “connected,” and that any queries regarding the models can be answered immediately. Audi Live View also lets the client check out any feature of the models in more detail—all he or she needs to do is ask.
Clients who wish to avail of the personalized presentation simply has to click on the Audi Live View link found on the Audi Philippines website (audi.ph), and provide their contact information. An Audi product expert will then get in touch with them to book their preferred schedule.
Clients can view the new RS 3 Sedan that is equipped with the most powerful series-produced 5-cylinder engine in the world—Audi Sport’s 2.5-liter, turbocharged, gasoline TFSI engine that makes 400hp and 480Nm of torque, and which is a 10-time International Engine of the Year award winner. Another notable feature of the model is its Audi magnetic ride suspension.
The other model currently available for viewing is the new RS Q8 which—with its 4.0-liter, twin-turbo TFSI V8 producing 600hp and 800Nm, an 8-speed tiptronic dual-clutch transmission, Audi Sport’s legendary quattro all-wheel drive, and adaptive air suspension sport with controlled damping—posted the fastest lap time for production SUVs, at 7 minutes and 42 seconds, on the highly demanding Nurburgring track.
Audi Live View also gives clients the chance to be among the first to inquire about the new RS 6 Avant—which is scheduled to arrive in Audi Philippines showrooms in early February. Guaranteeing this model the performance of a supercar, all while retaining the everyday practicality of a station wagon, is a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo, TFSI gasoline V8 that makes 600hp and 800Nm of torque. The engine sends the output to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission tuned for quick shifting, and then to the quattro system that distributes the power to the front and rear axles depending on available traction.
Also set to arrive soon is the new R8 supercar, which can be checked out in Audi Live View, too. The latest R8 has been updated with even more power and improved dynamics that are in line with its affinity to motor racing even as it still provides a comfortable and luxurious ride. Powering the new R8 is a naturally aspirated, 5.2 FSI V10 that produces 620hp and 580Nm. Matched to this is the 7-speed s-tronic dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to the quattro all-wheel drive system. The R8 is equipped with the Audi magnetic ride suspension as well.
Defining all RS models is a design inspired by motor sports and which adhere to a form-follows-function approach. Their signature Singleframe grilles are wider and lower, and are trimmed in black. Some RS models have horizontal slits between the grille and the hood, evoking the iconic Audi Sport Quattro of 1984, while others have flared fenders or wider wheel arches. Huge air inlets and elliptical tailpipes hint at the models’ turbocharged engines.
With Audi Live View, clients can check out all these features from a location, as well as at a time and day, which are most convenient for them.
