Microsoft and Apple are apparently working together to make the new Xbox Series X/S controller compatible with your favorite Apple device to play with.
It’s confirmed by Apple’s support page and Microsoft’s page for the Series X controller. This brings the number of supported Xbox controllers to 4 that includes the Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth (Model 1708), Elite Wireless Controller S2, and Xbox Adaptive Controller.
Apple also supports Playstation’s DualShock 4. Apple Insider reports that behind the scenes of iOS 14.3, there’s pending support for the new DualSense from the PS5 but it’s still not working so it might come in future versions of the software.
As for the timeline, well, support for Xbox’s Elite 2 and Adaptive Controller for iOS came in a year after its debut. Hopefully, this one comes up quicker.
