Nissan donates to typhoon relief for Bicol and Cagayan
The Japanese automaker partners with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to provide aid for communities affected by recent typhoons

Nissan in the Philippines recently donated relief goods for 800 families greatly affected by the recent typhoons that have passed through the country, as part of the company’s ongoing support to people in the Philippines.

The Japanese automaker turned over relief goods to the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region, a Civil-Military Operations division of the Armed Forces of the Philippines that conducts relief operations for communities in Bicol and Cagayan regions affected by typhoons “Rolly” (international name “Goni”) and “Ulysses” (international name “Vanco”).

“Reaching out to communities in need, especially in times of calamity, is part of Nissan’s commitment to support communities and enrich people’s lives. We hope our contribution brings hope and respite to families in Bicol and Cagayan, as well as inspire others to do the same,” said Atsushi Najima, President and Managing Director of Nissan in the Philippines.

The donation continues Nissan’s community engagements in the country, following the donation of three Nissan Navaras to the Philippine Red Cross in response to the Taal volcano eruption early this year, as well as the meal donations to medical frontliners fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in various hospitals in Metro Manila.
