Sony Philippines recently partnered with local music club Black Market to host a series of “Silent Parties” in Metro Manila from September 2015 until March 2016. Specially created for fans of the underground Filipino music scene, the “Silent Party” series is set to deliver a unique listening experience with Sony’s Xtra Bass lineup of headphones.

Black Market is known for its industrial warehouse style that focuses on all sorts of underground music. Through the Silent Parties, Sony and Black Market aim to bring this non-commercialized music to a larger crowd. The Silent Party concept follows the same format as Sony’s Silent Concert held in 2014. Guests will watch and listen to musicians performing using the available Sony headphones on-site. You’ll think they’re dancing and grooving to silence.

Ranging from hip-hop, house, to jazz, the Silent Parties will feature some of the Philippines’ best underground music talents such as The Zombettes, Skratchmark, Italo, Yana, Vince Pante, and David Sorrenti. Resident DJs such as Erick Ong (Mulan), Red Lintag, (Red-I), Angelo Mendez, PJ Martinez (Don P), and Astrid Reyes (Soulflower) will also be participating in the Silent Parties.

Each of the musicians and resident DJs will be equipped with their own Sony MDR-1A headphones. Guests, on the other hand, will be able to select either the MDR-XB450AP or the MDR-XB450BV from the Sony’s Extra Bass lineup when listening to the featured musicians.

Created for those who love blasting music without the annoying distortions, the MDR-XB450 headphones offer music lovers a vibrating bass beat that they can literally feel. Equipped with the newly developed Electro Bass Booster, listeners can spend hours of superior sound isolation and direct transmission of massive bass sounds.
