Pay your taxes anytime, anywhere with just a few taps

It’s almost tax-filing season again and those who do their own taxes know the pain of filing their ITRs. Thankfully, you can now skip the long lines and pay via the PayMaya app and soon on the BIR website itself using only their mobile number. In the near future, one can also pay using any credit, debit, and prepaid card. PayMaya hopes to accelerate the cash-lite and cashless future and has since enabled several government agencies like the Social Security System (SSS), the Home Development Mutual Fund (PAG-IBIG), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Tourism Infrastructure and Economic Zone Authority (TIEZA), the Professional Regulation Regulation Commission (PRC), the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC), and the city of Valenzuela to accept cashless payments.

BIR Deputy Commissioner, Lanee David says that the Bureau expects a significant increase in e-filers as it now becomes more accessible and convenient for people to file their taxes. Furthermore, the added convenience of paying online hopes to help business owners and make it convenient, reliable, and easy to do business.

Account holders who pay their BIR taxes (a minimum of P1,000) via PayMay on February 15, 16, 22, 23, and 29 can get a P100 one-time cashback if their BIR payment is among the first three unique biller payments made during the promo period.

Here’s how to pay your taxes via the PayMaya app:

1. Log in to your PayMaya account and click on the “Pay Bills” option.

2. Look for the BIR logo or type ‘BIR’ in the search box

3. Enter all pertinent details for your tax payment, including your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Branch Code, Amount, Revenue District Office (RDO) Code, Form series, Form Type, Tax Type, and Return Period

4. Enter the email address where you want to receive the receipt

5. Verify the information you entered and click ‘pay’
