Realme claims the second top spot in the recently concluded Lazada 12.12, overtaking other participating smartphone brands in terms of total gross value. In the first two hours of the highly anticipated online sale event, realme ranked fifth across Southeast Asia.
This is the second time realme Philippines participated at the grand year-end sale of the country’s biggest e-commerce platform Lazada. Last year, it also achieved record-breaking sales with the entry level realme C1.
Sitting on a whopping 277% sales growth at the Lazada 12.12 grand year-end sale compared to the brand’s Lazada 11.11 online sales performance, the brand offered markdowns as much 21%. The bestsellers were the realme 5 and realme C2. The budget royalty realme C2 topped the list of best-selling smartphones in the 4K price segment while the realme 5 dominated the entire mobile and tablet category. Just launched earlier this year, the realme 5 has broken several records including selling out on pre-orders and hitting the highest initial sales record.
Aside from the Philippines, realme also set staggering sales records in Vietnam and Indonesia, securing 3rd and 4th places as best-selling smartphone brand during Lazada’s year-end sale in these markets respectively. These record-breaking feats of the three Southeast Asian (SEA) countries landed realme the 5th overall spot of the best-selling smartphone in the region.
The brand also launched its latest audio accessories at the Lazada 12.12 sale. Set to change the audio game in the sub-2,000 and sub-700 price points, the realme Buds 2 and realme Buds wireless reinvent audio and bass power and overall sound experience with its custom tuning.
