GCash and Uniprom, Inc. (the operators of Gateway Cineplex, Ali Mall Cineplex, and Snaxx) announced its strategic partnership to provide moviegoers and snack lovers a much more convenient way of going to the movies. The said establishments now accept GCash QR as a payment method.
GCash is a mobile phone app—available for Android and iOS users—that lets customers pay with their smartphones by just scanning a GCash QR code located at Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex counters.
To celebrate this partnership, GCash treated moviegoers to a block screening premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
“Aside from using your GCash App to book for your movie tickets, you can now use the GCash scan-to-pay feature to buy your tickets and snacks in both Gateway and Ali Mall—letting you experience the advantage of a seamless, cashless transaction,” said Anthony Thomas, Mynt president and CEO.
“The convenience is just like magic,” he added. Mynt is the operating company of GCash.
The Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex is a state-of-the-art cinema complex, boasting 2,300 seats, and was designed by international cinema consultant Ian Riches. The complex also boasts the latest in cinema technology, a dedicated Dolby Atmos auditorium, which gives off a unique 3D sound for an immersive experience with the movie.
