Lenovo S90 launched, looks like an iPhone 6

Anyone seeing the new Lenovo S90 for the first time will undoubtedly have this overwhelming sense of deja vu. If it weren’t for the fact that the S90 has a Lenovo logo at the back and does not have a circular home button, you’d probably mistake it for an iPhone 6. Lenovo won’t flaunt the resemblance, but it won’t hide it either.

The Lenovo S90 was recently launched as Lenovo’s next midrange smartphone. For a midrange phone, it’s setting the bar high at least in terms of design. It’s still apt for the market it’s alluring to. The S90 is made for the socially savvy who love to take selfies and pictures, but still want the feature-packed smartphone with style and value. The iPhone-like design certainly exudes the style. It’s got features to have that value, too.

The S90’s hook is its camera. The rear shooter is a good 13 megapixels. The front, however, is a superior 8 megapixels. It won’t shoot the best photos from the front, but it towers over the rest of the competition. Shots are then displayed with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD screen (720p resolution), perfect for outdoor use.

Performance-wise, the S90 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8916 1.2GHz quad-core. Memory is a workable 2GB worth of RAM and 32GB worth of local storage. The battery is a good 2,300mAh, but I wouldn’t count on it being replaceable since it shares the design of the iPhone 6.

The build will be 146 x 71.7mm with a thickness of 6.9mm and weighing in at 129g. It will be available in Platinum, Champagne Gold, and Graphite Gray. It will retail for P13,999.
