Following its success, The North Face is beyond thrilled to introduce an all-new format for this year with the first-ever TNF Outdoor Challenge Philippines.
The TNF Outdoor Challenge will be a trail running race held within an expansive outdoor course that will feature various obstacles – reflecting The North Face’s advocacy of nurturing an inclusive community of active individuals who are in touch with the outdoors, expecting at least a thousand attendees including fitness and outdoor enthusiasts, runners, mountain climbers, hikers, and athletes from all corners of the Philippines.
With two race categories of 11km and 22km, the racing course which is dubbed as the Outdoor Endurance Challenge Course will be made up of a mixed terrain route, 12 mountain challenge obstacles for the 22km category, 7 mountain challenge for the 11km category, and four different ecosystem zones – earth, endurance, forest, and water. Leveraging upon the nature-oriented philosophy of the brand, the race will feature adventure challenges in various points of the route that will be comparable to training obstacles like mud-crawling, rock climbing, fallen tree hurdles, etc.
Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte, with the support of Congressman LRay Villafuerte and the local tourism of Camarines Sur, on Nov 18, 2017 the Camsur Watersports Complex designed for wakeboarding and other watersports activities will be recognized as the most important element of the race as it transforms into a channel of different obstacle courses, built to test the endurance and over-all fitness of all the runners.
Congressman Lray Villafuerte has been rallying tourism industry players in the region to raise their level of branding and marketing never stops from finding ways to develop, enhance and promote local tourism and be regarded as one of tourist destinations. Being the event partner of the first TNF Outdoor Challenge is a new way to boost Camsur Watersports Complex. Governor Villafuerte is known for this kind of vision.
The North Face has already kicked-off a series of Outdoor Training Sessions across the metro. Recognizing the vast purposes and reasons that motivate individuals to train, the Outdoor Training Sessions seek to encourage the community to train for a purpose. This time around, Outdoor Training Sessions will be geared towards preparing the participants for the upcoming TNF Outdoor Challenge with the help of Powerful Human Founder and Master Trainer Ruben Payan Jr who visited the Philippines and headed the 4th Outdoor community session together with the TNF local ambassadors and fitness experts held at Bonifacio High St. Activity Center.
