Completing the CD receiver family are the 1-DIN DEH-S4050BT, DEH-S2050UI, DEH-1053UB, DEH-S1052UB, DEH-S1050UB, as well as the DXT-S1069UB and DXT-S106UB bundled with speakers; and the 2-DIN FH-S705BT, 200mm FH-S506BT, and FH-S505BT. Pioneer has lined up the MVH-S305BT, and MVH-S105UI digital media receivers, too.

Here are the new features for the 2018 Pioneer audio receivers:

Content sharing. Bluetooth device management has been simplified with the introduction of ARC Bluetooth Hub. Through Pioneer’s ARC mobile application (app), users can add and remove Bluetooth devices, toggle Bluetooth connection mode (wireless audio, hands-free calling or both), and select a different phone to access its library for music playback.

Pioneer ARC. Moreover, all Bluetooth-enabled audio receiver models now support up to 10 smartphones double from the previous number so that everyone can be connected to the head unit, eliminating the need to constantly delete and pair devices due to limited slots. Initial loading time to retrieve a smartphone’s phone contacts has also been significantly reduced by almost 95%, down from 180 seconds to 10 seconds for 1,000 entries.

Personal karaoke machine. Users can transform the DEH-S5050BT and FH-S705BT into a mobile karaoke machine in four simple steps. All they have to do is press and hold the Search key, connect a microphone (mic) to the auxiliary jack, select a soundtrack from digital sources like USB and Spotify, and increase the mic volume through the head unit’s menu. Both inputs will be automatically mixed.

Stronger and deeper bass. The DEH-S5050BT, DEH-S4050BT, FH-S705BT, FH-S506BT, FH-S505BT, and MVH-S305BT are equipped with a new Dynamic Bass Enhancer function, which can be conveniently activated via a dedicated button. Two levels of enhancements (high and low) provide unparalleled flexibility to complement different music genres, while the integrated Super Bass EQ and loudness control can also be used to customize the bass output.

Connectivity and usability. An upgraded 255-segment LCD screen puts users in full control by displaying more information, from displaying the time to showing the currently playing source. For Android smartphone users, Pioneer has added USB auto pairing through its ARC app, making connecting these phones even more seamless than ever. Meanwhile, compatibility for iPhone 5, 6 and, 7 is further enhanced with iAP2 support and certification.

Other highlights and proprietary technologies include: a 13-band graphic equalizer, 96kHz/24-bit FLAC file playback, Spotify music-streaming support, Advanced Sound Retriever, and MIXTRAX® DJ technology
