There’s a new shop in town and its name is Elecom. Hailing from Osaka, Japan, this electronics company combines clean design and clear functionality, as is often seen from the Japanese. You can find limitless smartphone and tablet accessories with every feature you can imagine. How about a drip-proof smartphone case for when you’re cooking? An NFC-capable speaker set? A portable LAN to Wi-Fi router? The possibilities are endless.
The company was launched back in September of 2014. It currently has four branches and one kiosk in major malls. A ribbon-cutting event was recently held for its fourth branch at SM North EDSA Annex. Major TV and sports personalities were present for the event.
In the business for 28 years, Elecom is currently available in other countries such as Canada, Brazil, South Korea, and China.
The brand has over twenty product categories ranging from portable keyboards to blue light glasses. Its ELECOOK line specializes in gadget accessories made for the kitchen, like a drip-proof phone case.
As with Japanese design, Elecom’s product line-up is known for its minimalist design seasoned with a touch of pleasant quirkiness. But despite the focus on design, expect these products to last a while.
Here’s a quick sample of the products they offer:
Bluetooth Docking Keyboard. This is a table-top type keyboard designed for tablet PC users who prefer to type longer texts without the stress that can come from using a tablet PCs built-in keyboard. A new groove mechanism allows different size tablet PCs to be securely stood. The keyboard is a compact size with spacious key tops designed for ease of typing.
Capsule Bluetooth Speakers. These capsule-shaped high sound quality Bluetooth® speaker is equipped with “True Wireless” technology. Speakers on both right and left sides require no cables to provide stereo sound. Twin passive radiators are installed to bring out rich bass sounds, allowing you to experience a rich, layered sound in a way you wouldn’t expect from first appearances. Built-in chargeable lithium batteries, providing up to six hours of continuous playback, mean that you can take your musical capsule speakers anywhere. If you have an NFC-capable device, you can set up a connection with just a touch of your musical capsule speakers.
