OPPO Philippines recently launched the mid-range smartphone, OPPO F3. And according to the May 2017 report from GFK Philippines, OPPO F3 has reportedly sped through the mobile phone market, taking the spot for No.1 smartphone for the price band of P15,000 to P20,000 smartphones with an outstanding and dominating 48.5 percent market share.
Within the first three days of its availability in the market, the OPPO F3 started well, selling 22,000 units last May. According to OPPO’s press release on the announcement, many customers seem to appreciate its dual-selfie front camera setup, which is great at taking group shots with more of the background included. They also attribute it to the design, build, and internals of the device, especially its 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A distant second based on OPPO’s release is the Samsung Galaxy A5 at 18 percent and then third is the Sony Xperia XA at 6.6 percent.
The OPPO F3 isn’t the only one taking the spotlight, of course. In what can be seen as the Philippine market accepting its wide range of lifestyle-centered phones, OPPO also retains its position in the country as the No. 2 smartphone brand.
Last month, the Black Edition of the F3 was launched, giving customers one more color option to choose from. Before that, there was the Gold and Rose Gold versions. As part of the company’s back-to-school promo, the OPPO F3 is available nationwide in any OPPO concept and dealers for a special discounted price of P15,990. This promo will run until July 31st. All units also come with a pre-installed screen protector and soft transparent case.
