Many of Taiwan’s high grade products are quite well received by the country’s local market. They’re practically glued to the Filipino families and their everyday lives. To reaffirm the strong trade relations of the Philippines and Taiwan, the fourth and annual Taiwan Excellence Campaign was launched last June 1 at the Fairmont hotel in Makati.
Sponsored by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), the campaign promotes Taiwan’s leading brands which have earned the Taiwan Excellence Seal.
Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), this council has expanded their events to highlight the innovation, reliability and durability of the top brands which continue to encourage more convenient and enhanced lifestyles. Acer, ASUS and MSI are the popular choices for smartphones and laptops, while leading exercise equipment brand Johnson Fitness has been greatly accepted over the years.
“Through product demonstrations and interactive activities, Filipinos will have the opportunity to experience the innovative quality of Taiwanese products, providing a source of fun and generating excitement surrounding consumer goods that have been developed and manufactured in Taiwan” says Tony Lin, Deputy Executive Director of the Strategic Marketing Department at TAITRA.
This year, the Taiwan Excellence campaign featured more than 150 products from 52 accredited brands as the campaign promotes Taiwan’s leading brands which have earned the Taiwan Excellence Seal.
Promising visitors with a lot more fun, the exhibition offered something new for everyone. Specific exhibits include the Swift 7, the slimmest laptop delivered by Acer; the Zenfone 3 Live which is the first smartphone with real time beautification technology by Asus; the Trident 3, MSI’s smallest VR gaming PC, and Thermaltake’s P1 TG Mini ITX Wall-Mount Chassis. Other than all these gadgets and tech, home goods like the Tatung Fusion Cooker and the Vinaera Electronic Wine Aerator have also been included.
Not only that, but sports equipment including Johnson Fitness S3+ Spinner bike, and Hono YP 2009 were also included along with bicycles such as the Term product Cycles and the Roxim Technologies Raptor X3 Bicycle Headlight.
Activities slated for the 2017 Taiwan Excellence Campaign include (among others): Experiential zones in SM Megamall from June 2-4, SM Mall of Asia from September 29-October 1, and Glorietta from November 24-26.
