Weeks ahead of the XPENG X9’s official debut later this month, XPENG Philippines has opened pre-sales for the flagship ultra-intelligent seven-seater.
Only a limited number of units from the first batch are available for reservation.
Customers may now reserve the X9 for ₱25,000. Upon vehicle delivery, they will also receive ₱10,000 in EV charging credits and an exclusive XPENG First Circle Gift Set.
“The interest and inquiries we have received ahead of the official launch reflect the growing anticipation for the X9,” said Sam Chu, General Manager of Southeast Asia Region, XPENG. “In response, we are opening pre-sales early to give interested customers the opportunity to reserve their X9 before we officially begin retail sales later this month.”
The X9 arrives in the Philippines with established momentum, with more than 55,000 units delivered across China and other Asia-Pacific markets. This pre-sales campaign marks an important step in XPENG’s Philippine entry and reflects the company’s commitment to bringing premium mobility and AI technology to Filipino customers, led by a flagship model that has already gained strong market acceptance across the region.
Why the XPENG X9 Is Worth the Wait
The Philippine premium MPV market offers several established choices, most built around a familiar combination of passenger space, comfort, and luxury appointments. At 5,316 mm long, 1,988 mm wide, and 1,785 mm tall, with a 3,160 mm wheelbase, the X9 carries the substantial proportions expected of a flagship premium MPV. The long wheelbase and generous width contribute to an expansive passenger cabin, while the streamlined profile gives the vehicle a confident and unmistakable presence on the road.
A drag coefficient of 0.236 helps the X9 move through the air more efficiently, supporting lower energy consumption and a quieter ride at speed.
The Starship influence continues inside through a first-class cabin finished with contemporary color combinations, refined details, and premium materials selected for comfort and visual appeal.
- Pure-Electric Performance, Rapid Charging
The Philippine-market XPENG X9 is a battery electric vehicle powered solely by electricity. A front-mounted electric motor produces 235 kW of power and 450 Nm of torque, allowing the X9 to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.75 seconds. This generous output delivers smooth, effortless performance, even with a full complement of passengers and luggage, while preserving the quiet and refined character expected of a premium MPV.
A 110 kWh NCM battery provides up to 615 kilometers of driving range based on the global WLTP testing cycle. With energy consumption of approximately 20 kWh per 100 kilometers (WLTP), the X9 uses its substantial battery capacity efficiently, giving owners greater flexibility for daily travel and longer journeys with fewer charging stops.
Built on XPENG’s full 800-volt high-voltage silicon carbide platform, the X9 supports a peak DC charging rate of up to 542 kW. Under specified optimal conditions and when connected to a compatible high-capacity charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 12 minutes, significantly reducing waiting time during longer trips.
For home and destination charging, the X9 supports up to 11 kW AC charging, with a charging time of approximately 11 hours from five to 100 percent. This allows owners to charge the vehicle overnight and have it ready the following morning. Actual range and charging times may vary depending on driving style, vehicle load, temperature, terrain, battery condition, climate-control use, and charger capacity.
The X9 also provides 6 kW Vehicle-to-Load capability, allowing the battery to supply electricity to compatible appliances and external equipment during outdoor activities, events, or temporary power interruptions.
- Effortless Agility and Ultra Comfort
Despite its generous proportions, the X9 has been engineered to remain remarkably manageable in confined urban environments.
The active rear-wheel steering system provides a minimum turning radius of 5.4 meters, a maximum rear-wheel angle of five degrees, and an average steering-angle reduction of 42 percent. At low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction from the front wheels, giving the X9 greater agility on narrow roads, in parking garages, and around tight turns. At higher speeds, they turn in the same direction to enhance stability and composure, allowing this flagship MPV to feel more manageable and assured across different driving conditions.
An intelligent dual-chamber air suspension system balances ride comfort, stability, and control. Ground clearance can be adjusted from 100 to 190 mm, allowing the X9 to sit lower for easier passenger entry or rise when additional clearance is needed over uneven roads, steep ramps, and other challenging surfaces.
Another feature is its AI chassis, which can scan the road ahead and prepare the suspension response before the vehicle reaches changes in the surface. By responding in advance, the system helps reduce the impact of bumps and maintain a more composed ride for passengers.
- The Magic Third Row and Flexible Space
The X9 is built on a dedicated battery electric vehicle platform with a flat, step-free interior floor. This creates more usable cabin space and makes it easier for passengers, particularly children and older family members, to enter and move through the vehicle.
A 180-mm central aisle and one-touch EASY ENTRY function provide convenient access to the third row. Generous vertical space also gives passengers more headroom throughout the cabin. The third row is designed as a genuine passenger space rather than occasional seating. It includes power-adjustable backrests and headrests, seat heating, cupholders, and dedicated controls.
When additional cargo room is needed, the Magic Third Row transforms the cabin at the touch of a control. The 40:60 split seats fold and stow electrically to create a full-flat cargo floor, eliminating the need to remove or manually handle heavy seats.
Luggage capacity begins at 721 liters with all seven seats upright and can expand to as much as 2,554 liters with the third row stowed. The larger space can accommodate bicycles, camping equipment, surfboards, golf bags, and other bulky items that conventional premium MPVs may struggle to carry.
Another class-leading feature in the premium MPV segment, the X9’s concealed, sunken luggage compartment can accommodate up to seven suitcases even when all seven seats are occupied. Controls in the cargo area also allow users to adjust the third-row seats and suspension while loading or unloading. This powered flexibility allows the X9 to move easily between executive transport, family travel, and active lifestyle use without compromising passenger comfort.

Comfort in the X9 is defined by more than generous space and refined materials. Seating, climate, entertainment, and convenience features work together to create a cabin suited to executive travel, family journeys, and everyday mobility.
Full-grain Nappa leather covers the first and second rows. Front passengers receive 12-way power-adjustable seats with heating, ventilation, massage, position memory, and a welcome function, allowing occupants to tailor the seats to their preferred position.
The second row serves as the heart of the passenger experience. Zero-gravity seats provide 14-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, ten-point massage, powered leg supports, and a one-touch reclining position. By supporting the body in a more natural and relaxed posture, the zero-gravity position helps reduce lumbar pressure and fatigue during longer journeys.
The windless surround climate system uses more than 6,000 micro air outlets to distribute gentle airflow across the second and third rows. This helps maintain an even cabin temperature without directing a strong stream of air at passengers.
Other amenities include folding tables, wireless phone charging, powered soft-closing front doors, and an integrated refrigerator that can keep drinks cold or warm food and beverages during longer journeys.
A 21.4-inch rear entertainment display provides a large viewing surface for movies and other content. The 27-speaker XOPERA audio system, supported by 1,552 watts of amplifier power, delivers immersive sound throughout the cabin.
- An Intelligent Cockpit That Continues to Evolve
The X9’s XMART OS integrates vehicle functions, navigation, entertainment, connectivity, and customizable features within one digital environment.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, the system supports smooth multitasking and split-screen operation. This allows navigation, entertainment, and other compatible applications to run simultaneously without requiring passengers to switch continually between functions.
The cabin includes a 17.3-inch central display, a digital instrument panel, and a 21-inch windshield head-up display (W-HUD). By projecting key driving information within the driver’s line of sight, the W-HUD reduces the need to look down at the instrument panel, helping the driver remain focused on the road. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smart navigation, mobile application controls, and the “Hey XPENG” voice assistant provide additional ways to interact with the vehicle.
Multi-zone voice interaction allows passengers in different parts of the cabin to control compatible functions independently, while multilingual support makes the system more accessible to a wider range of users.
Through over-the-air (OTA) updates, XMART OS can receive improvements and additional functions, allowing the X9’s digital capabilities to evolve after purchase. Intelligence also extends beyond the cabin through XPILOT ASSIST, which uses a dedicated AI Turing chip, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 12 cameras to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings.
On the road, the system offers Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, Adaptive Turning Cruise, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist. For easier maneuvering, the X9 provides Enhanced Auto Parking Assist, Auto Exit Parking Assist, Remote Parking Assist, Remote Vehicle Summon, a 360-degree camera, and Transparent Chassis View. Reversing assistance can also help the driver retrace a recently travelled path when exiting narrow roads or confined spaces.
These technologies are designed to assist the driver and do not replace attentive driving. The driver must remain in control of the vehicle and observe prevailing road and traffic conditions at all times.
- Five-Star Safety Across All Three Rows
The 2026 XPENG X9 has been awarded a five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, supported by comprehensive passive and active safety systems.
The body uses 87 percent high-strength steel and aluminum, supported by a 2,000 MPa cage structure and 19-ring safety design. Together, these elements create a rigid passenger compartment designed to distribute impact forces and protect occupants during a collision.
Nine airbags provide protection throughout the cabin, while the battery incorporates safeguards against impact, heat, water, electrical faults, pressure, and fire.
Sixteen active safety functions monitor conditions around the vehicle and can warn the driver or intervene when necessary. These include Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assistance, Emergency Lane Keeping, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Driver State Monitoring.
The X9 also incorporates a blowout stability function designed to help the vehicle maintain a stable course following a sudden loss of tire pressure. Additional safety equipment includes a Bosch intelligent braking system, electronic stability control, tire-pressure monitoring, hill ascent and descent assistance, a surround-view camera, and ISOFIX mounting points.
