Honda has unveiled the 2026 Honda CR-V. This latest iteration marks a significant evolution of Honda’s flagship SUV, blending premium sophistication and sporty fun with the brand’s signature performance.
The new CR-V is now available with two e:HEV full hybrid options alongside a refined VTEC Turbo variant.
Two hybrids and a regular ICE variant
Leading the charge is the new CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT, a flagship sporty hybrid that elevates the model’s heritage with engineering tailored for the modern urban outdoor lifestyle. This is the crossover for daily city driving, business errands and weekend getaways.
Joining the hybrid ranks is the new CR-V 2.0 VX e:HEV E-CVT, which offers a sophisticated, quiet drive and advanced technology. Completing the three-variant lineup is the new CR-V 1.5 V Turbo HuNT CVT. As the sole petrol variant, it reinforces the aggressive performance and sporty spirit that goes beyond the ‘comfortable runabout’ reputation the CR-V is known for.
The e:HEV system features a 2.0L direct-injection engine mated to a powerful dual-motor configuration. While the engine produces 148ps and 183Nm of torque, the electric motors deliver an impressive 184ps and 335Nm of torque, ensuring an exhilarating, sophisticated driving experience characterized by both seamless performance and exceptional fuel efficiency. In terms of fuel efficiency under urban driving conditions, the VX e:HEV and RS e:HEV AWD achieved remarkable ratings of 29.4km/L and 21.3km/L, respectively.
An upgrade for the RS e:HEV AWD is its advanced Real-Time All-Wheel Drive (AWD) capability. This system is engineered to deliver more dynamic performance, enhancing stability and cornering precision in all driving conditions.
Meanwhile, the V Turbo HuNT variant is powered by a 1.5-liter direct-injected 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 190ps and 240Nm of torque, retaining the CR-V’s signature powerful performance. This versatile variant delivers a balance of power and efficiency, achieving 16.4km/L under extra-urban driving conditions.

The top-spec CR-V RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT projects an upscale and assertive vibe with exclusive Piano Black exterior accents and a sportier, edgier look.
The CR-V VX e:HEV E-CVT, on the other hand, offers a premium hybrid experience, featuring a sleek hybrid aesthetic with its expanded features from the RS e:HEV grade such as Piano Black tailgate spoiler garnish, door mirrors, and alloy wheels, topped off with new rear fog lights.
The CR-V V Turbo HuNT CVT variant, meanwhile, caters to the rugged enthusiast. It stands out with a signature “HuNT” emblem (exclusive to the Philippine market), glossy copper accents on the front grille and fog lights, black wheel arch garnish, silver front garnish, and running board.
Inside, the new CR-V features upgrades designed for premium comfort and maximum safety. All variants still feature black leather seats, with the RS variant receiving exclusive red stitching upgraded with RS branding. Drivers across the lineup benefit from a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, further refined in the RS variant with a black steering wheel garnish.
The 2026 CR-V also moves beyond the usual safety standard with the inclusion of Blind Spot Information and a Cross Traffic Monitor across all grades, which act as a second pair of eyes to alert drivers to incoming vehicles that are in hard-to-see areas.
The new CR-V is equipped with Honda SENSING, ensuring that owners have a complete sense of security with features like the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) that provides an extra layer of protection for both driver and pedestrians.
For a more intuitive experience, Head-Up Display (HUD), a feature that used to be available only on the RS, has been expanded to the VX variant. This feature allows drivers to avoid possible distractions, especially while cruising on a highway, because they can easily monitor their speed or follow navigation while keeping their eyes on the road.
Both the RS and VX variants now have Individual Driving Mode, allowing for a personalized connection between the car and the driver.
Furthermore, the new CR-V sets a new benchmark for convenience with the Google Built-in, which offers hands-free voice control across the lineup, making it easier and safer to control supported apps while on the road. This complements the Honda CONNECT that keeps drivers linked to their vehicle, making car ownership more convenient as vehicle controls may be done through a few clicks on their smartphone.
To support the transition to electrification, both the RS and VX e:HEV variants come with a specialized battery warranty of eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.
The 2026 Honda CR-V is available in four colors across all grades:
- Platinum White Pearl (additional P20,000)
- Meteoroid Gray Metallic
- Crystal Black Pearl (new color)
