VinFast delivered over 11,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to domestic customers in October, a 21% increase from September.
This brings its total sales since the beginning of the year to over 51,000 EVs, solidifying VinFast’s position as the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam for both October and the first ten months of 2024.
The VF 3 and VF 5 were the top-selling models, with nearly 5,000 and over 2,600 units sold, respectively. With a strong foundation of pre-orders, robust production capacity, a growing dealership network, and a nationwide charging infrastructure, VinFast is well-positioned for continued growth and market dominance.
A Significant Milestone for Vietnam’s Automotive Industry
As a Vietnamese car brand, VinFast has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first local brand to outsell foreign brands in its home market after just over five years of operation. Additionally, VinFast is the first EV brand in Vietnam to outsell gasoline-powered competitors, achieving this feat just two years after transitioning to a pure-play EV company. VinFast’s achievement makes Vietnam one of the few countries where EVs lead the automotive market.
A Win: Diverse Product Range and International Expansion
VinFast currently offers seven electric vehicle models across various segments in its home market, from compact SUVs to large electric SUVs. With competitive pricing, VinFast’s EVs offer compelling value propositions compared to gasoline-powered vehicles in the same segments.
Beyond the domestic market, VinFast is actively expanding its global footprint to key markets in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, and other regions.
In the Philippines, VinFast has quickly established its presence by launching three models: the VF 5, VF 3, and VF 7, to cater to diverse customer preferences. With multiple dealerships already operational and more on the way, VinFast is dedicated to serving the Filipino market and positively contributing to the country’s transition to sustainable mobility.
