During our visit to the Lion City for the 2024 Singapore Motorshow last January 11, a single file of three white, aggressive-looking Subaru models greeted us. The spotlight was on the car maker’s GT Editions of the WRX, WRX Wagon, and Crosstrek e-Boxer. We’re talking about exterior modifications nicely done.
This was created in collaboration with renowned engineering company Giken Co. Ltd and Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi. Kobayashi is the former Chief Designer (Head of Global Advanced Design Studio) at Subaru Corporation and was the mastermind behind the exterior design of more than 12 Subaru production models, including the WRX STI.
Undeniably, the garnishes further boosted the models’ head turning effect. With that said, you better keep your eyes on the road if you come across one while driving in the Metro. That’s also if they make their way to Philippine shores.
First off, we have the Crosstrek e-Boxer GT Edition. It fashions a sporty look — credits to its new roof spoiler, front and side garnishes, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Of course, the interior has something to match the overall athletic persona: the GT Edition leather seats.
If you think the WRX and WRX Wagon can’t go any sportier, the GT Editions of these cars will prove you wrong. It’s all in the details: from the front, rear, and side under spoilers down to its STI grille. All of which contribute to the vehicle’s boosted aerodynamics.
Filipinos might get a first look at Subaru’s GT Edition models during the 2024 Manila International Auto Show.
All things considered, since we’re big on aesthetics and huge fans of modifications and body kits, I’m optimistic that Subaru’s beefed up models will be pretty much welcome in everyone’s book.
