foodpanda shines the spotlight on exemplary delivery partners who have gone the extra mile in serving their customers and the community during the Golden Bamboo Awards ceremony held on January 27 at Luxent Hotel, Quezon City.
The Golden Bamboo Awards celebrates and recognizes the invaluable contributions and stories of modern-day heroism of the riders, bikers, and walkers who have played a huge part in foodpanda’s success and growth, along with the vendor partners and customers.
foodpanda granted the Ka-panda Superstar Award to Francis Sy. The partner rider based in Leyte holds the highest number of orders while ensuring customers’ quality and satisfaction are consistently in check. He was able to balance his time studying, being a single parent, while working as a Ka-panda rider. He recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management at the age of 29.
foodpanda also recognized a respected and reliable partner rider whose passion in helping the community inspires his fellow riders to do the same despite life’s challenges. This year’s Huwarang Ka-Panda Awardee is Denyo Jovero, who is known for the numerous charity events he helped organize, such as “Tattoo ko Tulong Mo,” “Operation Taal Victim: Ride for a Cause,” Operation Damayan,” “Operation Linis,” and “Birthday ko regalo sa inyo.”
The Ka-panda rider from Manila expressed his gratitude to the platform who has helped him achieve his dreams and pursue his advocacy, “Marami na po akong delivery company na napasukan pero mas naramdaman ko po ang pagpapahalaga ninyo sa aming mga rider.
Meanwhile, the Ka-panda Kalinga Award was given to Joniel Conti and Anghelo Raymundo, who have extended a helping hand and good vibes in times of adversity.
Joniel used all the tips that he received from his customers to give back and feed the less fortunate, as well as security guards and traffic enforcers.
Kapag may nakita kang nahihirapan tulungan mo.
Anghelo, on the other hand, is a graduate of Business Administration in Marketing who was once a manager in a company he’s been working for until he chose to work as a foodpanda partner rider in Olongapo because of its flexibility and the wide opportunities it opened up for him and his family.
During the ceremony, foodpanda also recognized delivery partners who have been with the platform for more than five years through the Partner Loyalty Award.
Arnel Pasquite, a partner rider from Cebu, said that not only did his life change for the better, but he also learned how to communicate better, be more patient, and be more competent on the road.
The Partner Loyalty Award was also given to Mark Anthony Macatol, Mark Anthony Garrido, Sabiniano Lutao, Allan Sabroso, Jerry Basto, Miguel Nery, Eugene Atizado, and Jerome G. Batan.
“We are thankful to our partner riders, bikers, and walkers for their hard work, from ensuring efficient deliveries and supporting their families to serving their fellow riders and communities. We are also grateful for their trust and loyalty throughout these years. Their stories inspire us, and we’ll continue to find ways to show our appreciation to our delivery heroes,” said Patricia Jacinto, Operations Director of foodpanda Philippines.
foodpanda customers can also show gratitude to our Ate and Kuya, who deliver their favorite meals and groceries quickly and safely to our doorsteps through the rider tipping feature on the app.
