They say you get what you pay for, but sometimes you’re offered more, way more. And that’s what makes us really excited for the Realme 3. It’s here! Starting at P6,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage, we can’t wait to tell you more about it.
A design upgrade
Realme ups the ante with a new 3D gradient unibody construction for the realme 3. While still made with plastic, it feels solid in hand. There are two color variants: Dynamic Black and Radiant Blue. It is a nice touch that gives it a bit of a personality. The display is a 6.2-inch HD+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a small dewdrop notch with an 88.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, making it easier to see more.
All about those cameras
One of the biggest things Realme wants you to be excited about are the new camera features. You get a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front shooter is also a 13-megapixel camera. But what you should be excited about is what the rear cameras can do, especially at night. Realme is bringing Nightscape and Chroma Boost into this segment. You might have seen a couple of our sample photos using Nightscape on our Instagram. It helps balance out night time shots to make them appear brighter without blowing out the highlights. Chroma Boost also helps improve photo quality with the help of AI technology.
Better performance
The realme 3 brings midrange performance into the entry-level market with the MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of expandable storage, and Android Pie running on ColorOS 6.0. The interface uses “stock” Android features and gesture, which some users appreciate. Realme pairs this with a 4,230mAh battery, which can easily get you through a day’s use. For added security, you get a fingerprint sensor, too.
It’s a steal
Pricing is very competitive with the 3GB RAM/32GB storage model at P6,990, 3GB/64GB model at P7,990, and 4GB/64GB at P9,990. The base model is a Shopee-exclusive with buyers possibly getting this at P6,290 by using vouchers during Shopee’s March 25 flash sale. The other two variants will be available through local distributors and kiosks nationwide starting April 6. You can pre-order starting tomorrow, March 20 until April 5, with a minimum deposit of P500. Those who do pre-order get freebies worth P1,299.
Realme also partnered with Home Credit to offer the 3GB/64GB model through a nine- or 12-month easy plan and the 4GB/64GB model through a six-month plan at 0 percent interest.
