Huawei has just launched their newest budget smartphones, the Huawei Y5P and Y6P which you can get at PHP4,490 and PHP5,990 respectively. The Y6P comes with a 13MP Triple Rear Camera, long battery life of 5,000mAh, and a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset for improved daily performance.
The Huawei Y6P runs on EMUI10.1 which is based on Android 10. It runs up to 2.0GHz using an octa-core Cortex-A53 and a GPU PowerVR GE832 with up to 650MHz. You can enjoy and maximize your 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity by expanding it up to 512GB. With this being said, you’ll have your 3-Card slot for your two nano SIM cards which both supports 4G and MicroSD. We have yet to find out how good it can perform when we download games and other apps from its new AppGallery.
It has a 6.3” HD screen with a resolution of 1600×720 with different screen modes you can play with. It has Dark mode which helps prolong battery life and changes the background color of an app window into black or gray. Eye Comfort reduces all the blue light your smartphone can emit which can help prevent eye strain. And an eBook mode which limits the colors of your screen to only black and white—definitely a battery saver.
With these three screen modes, you can really maximize your battery life and make the most out of your 5,000mAh. It’s expected to last up to 20 hours of internet surfing on 4G. It also supports reverse charging so it can work as a power bank but you’ll need an OTG cable which you have to buy separately.
Despite having that battery capacity, you still have a compact body with a size of 159.07mm x 74.06mm x 9.04mm with a 185g. This size and weight should help make it easier to hold and take selfies with an 8MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.0. For the main camera, you’ll have a 13MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.8, 5MP Wide Angle Camera with a 120° angle, and 2MP Depth Camera with a f/2.4 aperture.
The Huawei Y6P comes in three different color variants which are Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Phantom Purple.
