After making its debut at Computex in Taiwan in June, ASUS Republic of Gamers’ first gaming-centric smartphone makes its official local appearance at a fitting event: the 2018 Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS). ASUS ROG brought the ROG Phone straight to its target audience: hardcore gamers who want a great mobile gaming experience.

What makes this the go-to gaming smartphone? Design-wise, you can’t mistake it as anything else other than an ROG device. It packs in a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 550nits brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and support for Gaming and Mobile HDR. It uses the fastest and world’s first speed-binned 2.96GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with gaming-optimized Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB internal storage.

The ROG Phone packs in its GameCool 3D vapor-chamber cooling system with a detachable AeroActive Cooler to sustain blur-free, high frame rates during long gaming sessions. There are also side-mounted ports and two programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics to give you better control.

It also comes equipped with a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging, dual-front facing speakers, a dual 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel rear camera setup, and fingerprint reader.

On top of this, the ROG Phone comes with its slew of accessories to enhance the gaming experience: including the Professional Dock, Mobile Desktop Dock, GAMEVICE Controller, WiGig Display Dock, and TwinView Dock.

Now, this powerhouse of a phone is up for pre-order until November 8 at all ASUS, ROG, and ZenFone Concept Stores and Kiosks in the country. As for the accessories, these will only be available at ROG Concept Stores: Capitol of the Republic (ROG SM Megamall), North District of the Republic (ROG SM North EDSA), South District of the Republic (ROG SM Mall of Asia), and Visayas District of the Republic (ROG SM City Cebu).

Those who order the ROG Phone will get an ROG Phone jacket, ROG Phone hard case, and AeroActive Cooler. The 8GB/128GB model goes for P49,995, while the 8GB/512GB variant goes for P61,995.

The first 10 people who pre-ordered the phone can get all the accessories at 30 percent off. Instead of shelling out P58,470, they’ll get it at P40,995. This bundle includes the TwinView Dock Station (P16,995), WiGig Dock (P13,995), Mobile Desktop Dock (P9,995), ROG Suitcase (P7,995), GAMEVICE Controller (P4,995), and the ASUS Professional Dock (P4,495).

Those who pre-order will need to pay a reservation fee per unit. And this will be deducted from the SRP when the ROG Phone is claimed.
