Taking the work out of downloading the next episode of your favorite Netflix show (while saving you some space), Netflix has unveiled a new “smart downloads” feature for Android smartphones and tablets. This feature will automatically delete an episode you’ve downloaded and watched, and then will download the next episode when you’re connected to Wi-Fi. Smart downloads not only help you avoid reaching the number of maximum downloads but it will also make it easier for you to get the latest episodes without having to download them yourself.

Now, if you’d rather keep old episodes, you can head to the Download pane and toggle Smart Downloads from there.  As mentioned, the feature is available for Android first. There isn’t any word yet when it’ll make its way to iOS.
