Powered by Intel 8th-generation processors, MSI’s newly launched gaming laptop models GS65 Stealth Thin gaming notebook and GE Raider RGB Edition are breaking conventions with their unique features, such as a new functional design and a sports car-inspired aesthetic.
Possessing an 82 percent screen-to-body ratio, the GS65 Stealth Thin is the company’s first gaming laptop to feature a 144Hz 7ms IPS display with 4.9mm bezels. Despite the bezels’ thinness, MSI created a space for enough for the webcam to be placed in the top bezel.
The Intel 8th-generation Core i7 processor equips the Stealth Thin with up to a GTX 1070 to power the 144Hz panel, and gains up to a 40 percent performance enhancement, compared to its previous generation. Together with the new processor, GeForce GTX 10 series graphics and MSI Cooler Boost Trinity cooling design, GS65 promises gaming enthusiasts a smooth gaming experience.
Steering away from gaming laptop stereotypes, MSI designed the GS65 with a bold new gold accent and trim, creating the smallest details of the laptop glint. Aside from that, the Stealth Thin only weighs 1.8kg, and simultaneously has 8+ hours of battery life; its 82Whr battery is one of the largest batteries available in a laptop this size. It promises real portability.
With a new per-key RGB Keyboard designed by SteelSeries, Stealth Thin users can customize keys and receive real-time game updates just through keyboard lighting. An all-new user interface that is intuitive, and still offers advanced configurations for power users is what the redesign put into the table.
Meanwhile, the new GE63/73 Raider RGB Edition sources inspiration from sports cars and the PC Master Race’s love for RGB. These inspirations are manifested in the one-of-a-kind ultra-illumination with RGB lighting on the top cover, keyboard, and USB ports. The top cover has 24 separate RGB lighting zones—with other 16.8 million colors available.
Much like the MSI GS65, the GE Raider is configurable with up to the latest 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. It can also be with equipped with up to a 120Hz 3ms.
Promising the most stable experience on a laptop, the GE Raider utilizes a cooling design with dual fans and seven copper heats pipes, called the MSI Cooler Boost.
The new model comes with quite a number of exclusive features and latest technology like the Nahimic 3, Killer networking, and Bluetooth 5.0, among many others.
This powerful laptop that offers a huge boost in gaming experience and productivity will surely be a delight to gamers and power users alike.
“These new models are like nothing the gaming laptop market has seen before,” said Eric Kuo, MSI vice president of Global Sales & Marketing. “We’re breaking gaming laptop conventions with the Stealth Thin’s beautiful new design and the Raider’s unique RGB lighting.”
All of the new laptops are still available for pre-order until today, April 16 at MSI Concept Stores and select MSI authorized re-sellers.
